Perpustakaan sekolah merupakan unit kerja yang ikut menunjang kemajuan dan perkembangan lembaga induknya, karena dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kemajuan dan perkembangan sekolah. Oleh karena itu pengelolaan perpustakaan merupakan tuntutan yang sangat wajar. Target pengelolaan harus mencerminkan kemajuan yang berarti bagi sekolah, civitas akademika sekolah, dan lembaga-lembaga lain yang berkepentingan. Selain pengelolaan juga pengembangan, dengan memperhatikan sarana prasarana, isi perpustakaan, kegiatan ilmiah, serta sumber daya manusia pengelola.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Perpustakaan sekolah pada hakikatnya diadakan untuk memupuk dan menumbuhkembangkan minat serta bakat siswa dan guru untuk membaca dan menulis, memperkenalkan teknologi informasi, dan membiasakan mengakses informasi secara mandiri. Tentunya akses internet wajib ada (tersedia dengan baik) dan penggunaannya oleh siswa harus dalam pengawasan guru dan pengelola perpustakaan sekolah.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
